Appearance
A 24-year-old French engineer-turned-medical student, about 5'8" and of a medium build. Brown hair (medium length, generally a little unruly), brown eyes (very bright and intelligent but also gentle), eyeglasses. While his complexion is not of such shade of luminous porcelain as a certain compatriot of his, he is on the paler side, though of the duller cast of someone who spends most of his life indoors. He is just starting to grow his eventually-permanent dark circles under his eyes.
His appearance is neat, but more out of a base level of care for things in general than out of any specific sartorial concern. Despite his icons, Combeferre showed up in regular late-1820s stylings, looking the most like his default icon in regard to both clothes and hairstyle. I'm pulling him from 1829, so the current fashion is very much this:

He isn't the most stylish, though, and doesn't pull off an hourglass figure (and knows it and isn't going to make pretensions to it). He arrived in town a bit disheveled but with all the component parts (save for his hat): coat, waistcoat, cravat, etc.. His current ensemble is mostly a mix of darker browns, which he favors. (Both out of personal inclination and because, practically speaking, it's better for hiding blood stains and the like.)
A little plain, slightly geeky, but ultimately a guy you'd feel comfortable bringing home to meet your mother.

Stats/Permissions
( player info )
Character Skills: 19th-century medical and engineering training. Pretty good with guns. Advanced-intermediate fencing. Extremely well-read; very good memory. A passable dancer. Endless patience.
Character's Appearance: A young French medical student, about 5'8" and of a medium build. (People were shorter back then, okay.) Brown hair (medium length, generally a little messy), brown eyes (very bright and intelligent but also gentle), eyeglasses. His appearance is neat, but more out of a base level of care for things in general than out of any concern for fashion. A little plain, slightly geeky, but ultimately a guy you'd feel comfortable bringing home to meet your mother.
Regarding icons: Combeferre showed up in regular 19th-century stylings, looking the most like his default icon in regard to both clothes and hairstyle. As time progresses, he'll probably begin dressing in modern items found on the base. Barring any reason for change, however, his hair and eyeglasses remain period, despite the rest of his icons.
Quirks: He's really calm. Like, really, really calm. I mean, except when he gets excited by technology or giving big speeches about women's rights or whatever. But he's totally That Guy in your group of friends where you're, like, man, how does he put up with us assholes.
Violence: Combeferre is a completely normal human, medically speaking. I'm comfortable with all violence short of permanent, life-changing injury. I.e., no losing limbs, breaking backs, etc.. Otherwise, beat the shit out of him.
Sex: I mean, come on, kid's a student in 19th-century Paris. What do you think he's been doing? He's a nice doctor, though, so he knows how to probably not get you pregnant and also will snuggle afterward. I.e., sure to whatever.
Notes for Psychics: He's a smart, curious man with both a wide range of intellectual interests and a day-dreamy side. He also has a well-developed social conscious and is politically-involved in a politically-oppressive time. At any given moment, he could really could be thinking about anything, though he's always pretty aware of what's going on around him. A very bright mind but also pretty serene.
